The Birth of CandleWick House
Our story begins back in the 1990’s, having two children and a career as a midwife life was never dull. Any chance to relax was an opportunity few and far between and definitely not to be missed. One day whilst shopping I picked up a fragranced candle, it smelt so nice I just had to try it. From that moment on I was a candle fan, indulging in a different fragrance in every room of the house, whenever I got the chance.
As the years went on my family and I decided we needed a change of lifestyle and moved to Australia. Everything was going great but I couldn't find the fragranced candles I loved anywhere, I tried a few but was unhappy with the results. This sparked me to research how I could import fragranced candles. After many sleepless nights dealing with banks, customs, shipping companies and real estates, CandleWick House opened its doors on the 27th February 2009.
We are a close family and all have a part to play with the running of the business. Since opening we have become the largest stockists of National and International, superior quality candles and accessories in Australia. Our aim is to offer our customers a choice of the best candles and accessories from all over the world. We have already built up a loyal following and every so often we invite all our regulars for a night of free nibbles and wine.
It is very important to us that we can give every candle lover (or candle freak as we call ourselves) the opportunity to try the best quality products available and we are proud to share this online experience with you, where ever you may live.
