Redland Retail Awards 2011

Mon, 30 May 11

This weekend the Candlewick House team attended the 2011 Redland Retail Awards dinner at Sheldon College. This awards night is designed to promote excellence in customer service, with members of the Redlands community nominating their favorite local businesses as finalists. This was our first year in the running for the awards and we were delighted to be nominated as a finalist, after we received an overwhelming number of nominations from our wonderful customers. We were entered in the Gifts and Collectibles section of the awards, and the competition was certainly strong, with more nominations this year than ever before. We showed up on the night with no idea what to expect - could our store, only a few years old, take home the prize? It turns out we could! That's right, after a visit from a secret shopper, who judged us on our store presentation and service, Candlewick House was awarded the Best Gifts and Collectibles Store in the Redlands! We could barely believe it, and after an impromptu speech by Alison, the night turned into a celebration. We always aim to provide our customers with first class products and service, and we're honored that you saw fit to nominate us for these awards - thank you all!
